Kwame Addo Kufuor leaves AngloGold

Citi Business News can confirm the Vice President of Corporate Affairs of AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Kwame Addo-Kufuor has resigned.

[contextly_sidebar id=”dOSltHsLSxjQp7uYNTHwyNVDoO1VYGAw”]It is unclear where he will be heading to but a statement from the mining giant said Kwame Addo-Kufuor has moved on to pursue other interests. Kwame Addo-Kufuor has been with AngloGold for 18 years.

In his absence Fred Attakumah, Managing Director of the company’s Obuasi Mine will take over AngloGold’s corporate affairs wing.

Mr. Attakumah will also lead the company’s stakeholder engagement activities and will have full responsibility for managing the reputation of the company.

Mr. Attakumah has worked with AngloGold Ashanti for over 20 years.

According to the company he rose through the ranks by dint of hard work and strong capabilities to become the Managing Director of Obuasi Mine.
