MTN Ghana has awarded winners of its MTN App Challenge 3.0 at the company’s head office in Accra.
Over ten groups and individuals were awarded with cash prices ranging from 5,000 cedis to 20,000 cedis.
The over all winners, a group called wheelo which developed a game app received 20,000 cedis.
the Acting Chief Marketing Officer of MTN, Mr. Noel Kojo Ganson, in an interview with Citi Business News stated that the winners have been mentored to invest the funds into their businesses to expand it.
He added that all particapnts were encouraged to invest in areas that would identify with Ghanaians.
A member of “Wheelo”, Master Kwame Agyei Marfo, urged Ghanaians to download local apps to enable developers sell their products on the international market with ease.
