Minister of International Cooperation Sahr Nasr held a meeting on Tuesday 7/6/2016 with a group of officials from the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) to discuss slum development projects in Egypt in cooperation with Housing Ministry.
During the meeting, Nasr stressed that Cairo is keen on speeding up the development of slums and improvement of slum residents’ qualify of life.
It is a priority for the government to carry out housing and health projects to these regions, the minister said, noting the country paid special attention for the regions that threaten lives of its residents.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Housing Minister Ahmed Darwish who briefed the meeting on the plan adopted by the ministry to develop slums.
