A Twenty-one year old boy, Amabe Valerius, a tailor apprentice, has emerged the winner of the second jackpot prize for *787# lottery.
He bagged a cash prize of GH¢157,500.
Staking the lottery with GH¢10, Valerius said in an interview that he least expected to be the winner of the game.
As a tailor apprentice at Navrongo in the Upper East Region of Ghana, who is yet to pursue tertiary education, Valerius, who was obviously overwhelmed with the amount for the chances taken, shared his excitement.
“I am very happy about this prize. I am going to use it for my tailoring business by purchasing sewing machines,” he remarked.
Valerius’ win is the second in a row after the first Jackpot winner in March.
Valerius, together with other players, bagged various prizes such as nights’ stay at hotel, laptops, Iphones, TV sets among others.
The jackpot draw winner means that a player won the unique prize of 20,000 cedis plus an additional Jackpot code which are letters between A to E attached to one’s number.
The Customer Experience person for 787 lotteries, Richard Akoto Bamfo, touted the lottery scheme saying,
“It means people are getting to trust the game, and that it has come to stay and serve the people of Ghana. We need our players to be assured that people are playing and making the best out of what they stake.”
On what other potential players could do to secure their luck, Valerius had this to say:
“I will say they should keep playing and since today is my turn, it might be their turn some other time.”
