COVID-19: Guiness Ghana launches Rise Up loyalty promo to support customers

In a bid to support its customers whose businesses were affected during the COVID-19 pandemic, Guinness Ghana, has launched the second phase of its Yen Nyin Mbom campaign which was started in 2019.

Speaking to Citi Business News, Corporate Affairs Director of the company, Sylvia Owusu-Ankomah, said, the initiative, dubbed Rise Up, is intended to assist over 1,500 direct customers including wholesalers and retailers with assorted prices worth a total of GHS 10 million.

She said, government-imposed restrictions in the wake of the outbreak of the disease in Ghana forced many drinking bar operators to shut down for months, taking a toll on their finances and the hospitality industry as a whole.

She said, as part of the loyalty promotion, trucks, fridges, television subscriptions as well as products from the company will be awarded to customers in acknowledgement of the sales they make.

Ms. Owusu-Ankomah called on partners across the country to strictly adhere to all COVID-19 safety and prevention protocols as business activities gradually return to normal.

Spokesperson for the National Drinking Bar Operators Association (NADBOA), Charity Nyarko Boadu, lauded Guiness Ghana for the initiative and pledged to continue collaborating with the company to boost Ghana’s hospitality industry.
