Twenty-four (24) year old Evans Tettey Odjer, has received a brand new laptop from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana for emerging the overall Best Accountancy Candidate for 2019.
In all, 267 newly qualified accountants were inducted into the institute in 2019.
Speaking at a presentation ceremony, which took place at the EPP Books Shop at the Legon Mall in Accra, Master Odjer, who is currently working with audit firm, KPMG, pledged his commitment towards the development of accountancy in Ghana.
“This laptop will go a long way to help me in my professional development as a young accountant. I will also drive forward the initiative of the ICAG in developing accountancy in Ghana and worldwide.”
Presenting the laptop to Evans Odjer, Director of Member Services at the ICAG, Mr. Augustine Addo, reminded the awardee of his responsibilities towards investors and society at large.
“We are hopeful the beneficiary will use this tool for his future career development.”
Meanwhile, the President of ICAG, Prof. Adom-Frimpong, has asked all accounting professionals in the country, to exhibit a high level of self-confidence and be resolute in the discharge of their duties.
