Citi FM and Citi TV’s Christmas Made in Ghana Food Fair comes off today at the Aviation Social Centre in Accra.
The Fair will ends on Sunday at the same venue. The event, which starts from 10:00am to 4:00pm, is part of Citi FM and Citi TV’s drive to support distributors and producers of Made In Ghana products.
They will include adult and kids’ wear, food and beverages and other consumables.
It falls under the station’s #OperationFeedYourself project that seeks to encourage growth and investment in agric and agribusiness.
The event will provide a one-stop-shop for made-in-Ghana products/brands to enable patrons to interact with different vendors to create awareness and growth.
This event comes at a time when a campaign for the consumption of local rice started by the CEO of Citi FM and Citi TV, Samuel Attah-Mensah, has gained national attention and is already making a huge impact as all relevant stakeholders have come on board.
As a side attraction, some staff of Citi FM will engage in a Jollof cooking competition.
The competition will feature four groups; Credible Jollof, Ahuofe Jollof, Bombastic Jollof and Jollof Beyond Aid.
Team credible Jollof is made up of Vivian Kai Lokko, Frema Adunyame, Umaru Sanda Amadu, Bobbie Osei and Godfred Akoto Boafo.
Team Ahuofe Jollof is made up of Jessica Opare Saforo, Osei Kwame, Tuffuor Boateng, Nana Adwoa Sarkodie, Mellisa Aouad and Ato Kwamina Essuman.
