In the Weekly Financial Markets Review for the week ending Thursday, August 11, 2016 FAN Milk, CAL Bank, GCB Bank and SIC Insurance appreciated. PZ Cussons, HFC and MLC lost grounds. The GSE Composite Index went up by 19.37 points; posts a year-to-date return of -9.45%. The 91- Day and 182-Day Bills went up to 22.84% and 24.69% respectively. The 2 Year-Note also went up to 24.50%. The 1-year, 3 Year, 5 Year and 7 Year Notes were unchanged. On Currency Market, the Cedi edged higher against the Dollar, Pound and Euro. On the Commodities Market, Crude oil and Cocoa Prices went up; while Spot gold down.
