Some women stakeholders in Ghana’s Cocoa industry have blamed poor access to credit as the main challenge hindering their improved contribution to the cocoa industry.
According to them, the low level of ownership of cocoa farmlands by women prevent them from getting credit from financial institutions.
The comments were made at the official launch of the Women in Cocoa and Chocolate Network (WINCC) in Accra.
