The Head of Enterprise Business for Airtel, Maxwell Dodd has challenged businesses to empower their sales teams to achieve higher targets.
Speaking on the topic, “Reinvigorating your sales force” in day two of Citi FM’s annual Management Development Month series he called for sales teams to be enabled with modern day tools.
According to Maxwell Dodd, critical information on clients and new selling prospecting modules must be made available to the sales team to be successful.
“We are in an era of what we call the big data, where everybody is looking at information on buying trends, information on your prospects, information on your customers to guide what you do , how well do we make these tools available to our sales teams”, he stated.
Mr. Dodd lamented concerns of sales persons and said,” I have been in a situation where I have seen sales people resign just because they are frustrated, just because there are no processes and governance modules in place to help them”.
He further identified some key initiatives that when implemented can help sales persons to achieve set target and remain well motivated for the job.
They include, tools (big Data) and a solution portfolio that is suitable, governance modules and guiding principles.
