The oil vessel which was reported missing off the coast of Ghana has been found.
The Hijacked oil vessel found was reported missing last Saturday after the captain sent a distress call saying, the vessel was hijacked by pirates.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the First Garrison of the Eastern Naval Command, Lieutenant Maxwell Asola-Fadola in an interview with Citi News disclosed that every member of the crew on board the vessel is safe.
According to him, the naval ship which was sent to escort the oil vessel towards Ghana’s territorial waters confirmed the safety of the crew members with no casualty.
The vessel, Lieutenant Asola-Fadola says was loaded with oil when it was hijacked.
It was then moved to Nigeria, where the pirates “drained the vessel of all the oil on board and left it empty.”
