Tanink Ghana Limited on Thursday unveiled the latest models of three classy vehicles – the Dodge Durangos, Chrysler 300C and Jeep Compass.

The wholly-owned Ghanaian company, is also the distributor of Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Iveco vehicles in Ghana.

At a ceremony held at the company’s premises in Tema, just off the Accra-Tema Motorway, the Transport Minister, Dzifa Attivor, unveiled a robust but sleek 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The Grand Cherokee, which has been described in various circles as a utility vehicle that also rides with crossover care, is as practical as it is good-looking and according to the Sales Manager of Tanink Ghana, Mr. Cyril Kumedro, the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee was purposely designed and specked to meet the luxury needs of chief executives.

A few key rating services have described the Cherokee as  “rugged, with real off-road talent–but it’s as luxurious as any German SUV. The contradictions only make it more appealing, and not just as a family wagon–but as a rational alternative to very expensive machines from BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, and Land Rover.”

The interior space of the Jeep is exceptionally good and its fit and finish even better; the color schemes and new trim options, like open-pore wood, and with the inclusion of special features like the hill ascent control, which maintains steady throttle while the Grand Cherokee scrabbles up surfaces, the Grand Cherokee certainly makes a case in its push for top spot in the luxury-vehicle terrain.

According to the Sales Manager, the Grand Cherokee is a game changer because the 3.0-liter V-6Ecodiesel for instance, earns an estimated 30 mpg on the highway, and has a stated range of about 730 miles on a single tank to go with best-in-class towing capacity of 7,400 pounds.

Tanink 2The US Ambassador, Gene Allan Cretz unveiled the sleek, classy Chrysler 300C, whose design is renowned for its customized and accessorized adaptability, to a rapturous applause.

Mr Kumedro, about the Chrysler 300C, said, “Its classic and recognised shape, size and content have just the right amount of character and canvas, making it the solid signature piece its drivers can either personalize or keep elegantly simple to suit their taste,”.

He maintained that the style and performance notes from the brands’ greatest enthusiasts have been put into the gorgeous Chrysler 300 canvas to help portray and build the character within existing and potential customers.

According to him, “Every Chrysler 300 model’s exterior boasts of a prominent square-shouldered fascia, raked back windshield, low roof with angular body and integrated rear spoiler to enhance aero-dynamics.”

The former First Lady Nana KonaduAgyeman-Rawlings unveiled the Dodge RAM.

The new 2014 Dodge Durango with 3.6 Litre Engine Capacity is known for its sophisticated seven-passenger interior. The Durango delivers the versatility of a cross-over, the capability of an SUV and outstanding performance feared by competition.

Mr Kumedro, in his appraisal of the vehicle, said,“With all senses ready for takeoff, Dodge Durango clears all doubt that it is the no-compromise SUV. Not only will a powerful and efficient power train take you the distance, but the interior will indulge you with both premium details as well as an amazing degree of flexibility,”

He explained that“The Dodge Durango is machined and sculpted to trigger mouth-gaping glances. One Drive, one Look and we are sure you will agree.”

“What can I say about the Dodge RAM Pick-up? He asked, submitting that“it is the most reliable and comfortable work horse ever developed by man. You want a reliable, comfortable Pick-up? Then the Dodge Ram, 3.6 Litre is your answer.”

The Chief Executive of Tanink Ghana, Mr. Roger Klogo, said the unveiling of the vehicles and the addition of the three brands of luxury SUVs to Tanink’s array of vehicles “marks another milestone in the history of this company and relationship with our Foreign Partners.”

He said the enviable feat achieved by Tanink is primarily because of “our focus on after sales and customer service,” explaining that even though the company began nearly 20 years ago with the “humble dreams of keeping a roof over my family’s head and food on their plate, the company has grown to be what you see before you and its family has also grown.”

“With our operation offices in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, we are now going to expand aggressively into West Africa beginning with Liberia from next year,” he revealed.

The company acquired the franchise to deal in the top range luxury vehicles late last year.
