Tanink Ghana takes delivery of latest Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler vehicles

Automobile giant, Tanink Ghana, has taken delivery of its first batch of the latest models of luxury Jeeps, Dodge and Chrysler vehicles.

The company, which until now only dealt in Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Iveco vehicles, late last year acquired the franchise to add the top range luxury vehicles to its fleet of offerings.

Currently sitting in Tanink’s redesigned, custom-made showrooms are the roaring Dodge Durangos, the sexy, classy Chrysler 300Cs, the Jeep Compass, and the Grand Cherokees awaiting a grand launch on June 12 at the company’s plush building off the Accra-Tema Motorway.

Managers say all three brands – Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge – have a touch of everything from sleek to tough, smart to sexy, and rugged to plain luxury.

They say the arcane details of the vehicles will be revealed at the unveiling ceremony next week.

But consistent with its iconic status, the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been reloaded in the most unimaginable ways.

002Experts say the most significant drive train news is the adoption of a ZF-engineered eight-speed automatic for the Grand Cherokee but some have disagreed on this point.

They insist that the new Eco button in the Cherokee that alters the gearbox shift schedule and throttle sensitivity for optimal fuel economy is the game changer.

The Sales Manager at Tanink, Mr. Cyril Kumedzro, maintains 24 gallons of fuel can take the Grand Cherokee on a round trip to Tamale.

“This is the most economical 4×4 vehicle you can find on the market today,” he stated.

Marty Padgett, a juror for the North American Car and Truck of the Year awards agrees.

He says “For 2014, [the Grand Cherokee] gains a new turbo diesel engine option, which gives it better highway fuel economy than some luxury sedans we can name.”

Touching on the 2014 Chrysler 300C, Mr. Kumedzro, said the vehicle is the epitome of class, luxury, power, strength, and many more.

According to him, the vehicle is acknowledged globally as the most affordable luxury car this year.

“The Chrysler has Eight-speed automatic transmission for V-6 models, 8.4-inch touch-screen, available Beats by Dr. Dre premium audio,” he rattled some of the features of the vehicle.

Taking pride of place in the Tanink showrooms are the latest models of the indomitable Dodge vehicles with their intimidating presence.

The Dodge Durango especially, immediately catches your attention on approaching the showroom.

One analyst said unlike many crossover vehicles which are painfully conservative and leave their drivers frustrated and anguished, the 2014 Dodge Durango really roars.

“The minute the 2014 Dodge Durango R/T graced my driveway and neighbours heard the HEMI growl – it solicited a crowd. Oh yes, this baby has personality,” he said.

003Mr. Cyril Kumedzro said the Durango is for those who love to intimidate on the road and enjoy the power that comes with driving a real beast.

“The 2014 Dodge Durango R/T is a blast to drive. It holds corners shaming most sedans, grumbles loudly – when called upon and launches hard. It gives the driver the sense that he/she is behind the wheel of a performance wagon while never letting you forget it’s a beefy truck-ish machine,” car review site TFLcar, stated.

Mr. Kumedzro said, with the latest addition to Tanink’s array of automobiles, the company is firmly positioned to meet the needs of a wide range of customers no matter how varied and specific those needs are.

“We have IVECO for the construction industry, small and efficient Fiat and Alfa Romeo saloon vehicles for beginners and people with specialized needs, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300C for chief executives who deserve to be pampered and the Dodge for those who want to bully the rest of us on the road,” he stated.

There certainly will be surprised packages for those who come for the launch on Thursday, June 12, he promised.
