Golden Tulip Workers slam Seth Terkper

Workers of Golden Tulip hotel have slammed the minister of finance Seth Terkper for turning a blind eye on allegations of embezzlement being leveled against managers of the hotel.

The workers have twice petitioned President John Mahama to intervene and address the growing tension in the hotel between workers and management.

The workers are accusing managers of the hotel of embezzling some 15 million dollars meant to renovate the facility.

According to the secretary of the local workers union Henrietta Boakye , the finance minister who doubles as the chairman of the board of the hotel must be proactive.

“It’s been three good weeks since we petitioned him and we’ve not heard anything from him , what we are expecting from him is that he should do the right thing “, she stated.

The local workers union is demanding that Mr. Seth Terkper alerts President Mahama to set up a committee to investigate the allegations.
