Google joins fight against Ebola

Citi Business News has learnt that Google is putting together a tracking system for Ghana as part of the fight against Ebola.

This system we are told will help in tracing people who came into contacts with any individual suspected to have contracted the disease.

Government had earlier appealed to US companies through the American Chamber of Commerce to support Ghana in its fight against Ebola.

This appeal had seen KOSMOS Energy provide incinerators and standby generators to all the three Ebola treatment centres in the country.

The tracking system when launched will allow citizens to report Ebola-related issues to government, health agencies and others to keep track of the disease.

Sierra Leone has also been provided with a tracking system by IBM as part of the fight against the deadly disease.
