Vodafone Ghana has told Citi Business News that it has no plans to cut services to Expresso.

MTN and Airtel have all cut one way call services from Expresso over its failure to honor its financial obligations under the Interconnect Agreement.

Expresso has declined to comment on the matter, despite a directive from the National Communications Authority (NCA) asking it to clarify the issue to its customers.

The NCA has also advised customers of Expresso to port to other networks as the feud deepens.

Speaking to Citi Business News Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Ghana Haris Broumidis said Vodafone Ghana would negotiate with Expresso on how to deal with the matter.

“In our case Vodafone Ghana is not considering cutting Expresso, we will work with them to see how we will reach an amicable solution regarding what they owe us because of the incoming traffic.”

Then CEO of Vodafone told Citi Business News while he cannot judge the other companies decision of cutting one way calls to Expresso, his company is of the view that the customers of both companies should not be put at the centre of the issue.

“I can say that we are not considering the option of cutting calls to Expresso.”
