If you are a woman and you are worried about who to go to for financial assistance and advise well you need not worry any longer.
[contextly_sidebar id=”ppq7weLAKHbRHEiNpknlmhvlIfZKItx6″]This is because Access bank has introduced a new initiative called the “W” initiative.
The W initiative allows women and their families access to a variety of products, including free financial advice, health package, wide range of discounts, a comprehensive range of loan products and credit facilities.
The product according to the Bank is meant to affect the life of women in a positive manner to support their businesses and families.
Speaking to Citi Business News Head of Corporate Communications at Access Bank Ghana Matilda Asante-Asiedu said the “W” is for a complete woman who desires to be inspired, connected and empowered.
“Note that women are different from men, they do business differently, women bank differently, with that understanding we thought we should give them the support which we all know they have not been able to receive for some time now. This gave birth to the “W” Initiative which will give them the support which will inspire them to greater heights, connect them to opportunities and empower them to achieve whatever their ambitions are.”
The ‘W’ began as a result of the struggles women in business have experienced in terms of funding.
‘It has an online network which harbours an interactive community which aims to inspire and bring women together to share ideas on how to grow their business while also having a happy and healthier life which should give them the satisfaction that they need’. Matilda Asante-Asiedu said.
“You know our competitors have one stop product that handles women’s issues but this is different, it has been segmented to cater for the need of any kind of woman and that is what differentiates us and the rest and that is why women should take advantage of it. Unlike the one size fits all solution on the market, we identified what the specific need of the woman is and in addition to that we are introducing this novelty which is the Maternal Health Support Scheme which is the first of its kind in the country.”
The Maternal Health Support Scheme gives financial support to families and single mothers in child birth issues.
This in a broad term supports several things.
Women who want to help their children, women who need financial assistance to complete their studies, health, down to savings product and gender empowerment products can be part of the “W” initiative.
