The Managing Director (MD) of Stanbic Bank Alhassan Andani has been crowned the Marketing Man of the year 2014 by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG).

In an interview with Citi Business News after Receiving his award , Mr. Andani said it was a” huge honor” and ” very humbling” for him to be recognized by the CIMG.
“To come to this award, a lot of people have impacted me, my career; a lot of very good people have influenced my way of life and have allowed me to share lots of knowledge with them and it’s on behalf of all of them particularly the my colleagues at work (Stanbic Bank) were I have had a fantastic 10 year run as Chief Executive and it’s on behalf of everyone of them that I receive this award”, he stressed.
The Marketing woman of the year 2014 also went to the Managing Director of Airtel Ghana Mrs Lucy Quist.
The Head of Remittance Unit at Royal Bank Emmanuel Dzorgbenyuie was adjudged the Marketing Student of the Year while the head of Marketing Coca-Cola Equatorial Limited Mrs. Linda Larbi took home the Marketing Practitioner of the year award.
Union Savings and Loans is CIMG Emerging Brand of the year Union savings and loans was awarded the Emerging Brand of the year under the product category.
The Chief Executive of Union Savings and Loans Philip Oti Mensah in an interview with Citi Business news said, “We planned it, we worked towards it and we won it. We thank God and I want to say this is for the staff, they’ve worked so hard towards this and I want to appreciate their efforts”.
Ecobanks is CIMG Bank of the year Under the Business category, Ecobank Ghana was awarded the Bank of the year award.
The Executive Director Legal, human resource and Compliance of Ecobank Morgan Asiedu , who received the award on behalf of the company said dedicated the award to the Customers of Ecobank.
He said,”We had earlier won the Euro Money Bank of the year, we won the award as bank of the year during the bankers awards and then we’ve also won this one so it’s a hat-trick.
This goes to confirm that we are doing something right, we are doing simple things by focusing on the customer, making sure we are proving convenient, accessible and reliable banking services” .
