After obtaining a Universal Banking license from the Bank of Ghana in 2015, First National Bank Ghana has officially launched the bank today in Accra.
The bank operates in numerous countries across the continent including Tanzania, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia , Zambia Lesotho , Swaziland and South Africa.
First National Bank is poised to offer many innovative programmes to the people of Ghana.
According to the Banks CEO Richard Hudson, management took the decision to set up an entirely new ‘green fields’ operation free from existing structures, building it from ground to up.
“This is an exciting opportunity to build a new bank tailored to the requirements in Ghana based on technologies that are already proven across all our operations”, he said.
“Our key objective is to provide electronic and digital banking that is convenient and low cost to a broad segment of the people of Ghana”, he added.
The bank will trade under the brand’s well-known logo of a rising African sun and stylized Acacia tree with branded turquoise as well as amber corporate colours.
In addition to the Head Office based at the Accra Financial Center, the bank already has two branches and four ATMs with plans of opening three other branches in Accra.
