The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a global body for professional accountants has held a grande ball to induct 217 new members into the professional body.
The association also presented awards to some of its members.
The ceremony was attended by ACCA members, executives as well as past and present presidents of the institution.
President of the ACCA, Henry Djangmah advised the newly inducted members of the association to apply the rules and regulations of the profession to become relevant in the global market.
‘‘We are Ghanaians, we are locals but we must make sure that though local, we have to think international. We have to make sure that whatever you do, you don’t do it for only the Ghanaian market but for the international market as well. So that at least we can have the opportunity to enable investors to flow into the system’’, he said.
He further congratulated the new members and wished them well in their field of work.
The ACCA, founded in 1904, has consistently held unique core values: opportunity, diversity, innovation, integrity and accountability with the belief that accountants bring value to economies in all stages of development.
