One of Ghana’s most experienced companies in the Finance House category of the Non-Banking Financial Services industry, NDK Financial Services Limited has celebrated 25 years of operations.
As part of the celebrations, the company invited customers and board members to its Omanye Aba Head Office in Accra to outline the vision and mission of the company.
Speaking at the ceremony, the CEO of the company,Oko Nikoi Dzani recounted that the company began operations prior to the enactment of the Non-Banking Law, PNDC law 328 passed in 1993.
He stated that the company has played a leading role in spearheading discussions and providing invaluable input for many of the laws and regulations that govern the industry.
“NDK continues to assist the Bank of Ghana in improving the non-banking law and regulations under which all non-bank institutions operate”, he said.
Giving a brief history of the company, he recalled that the company started from a small office in the Kingsway building in Accra where its first clients were primarily traders and business men importing goods for sale.
“The business grew and over the course of a few years, the company became known as the alternative to banks”, he said adding that “in 1997 , NDK Financial services has grown in reputation and clients that it relocated into its own building in Osu”.
According to him, the company initiated major changes to position it to meet the dynamic nature the industry was assuming by 2007.
Announcing the stated capital of the company as hitting 500 million cedis, Mr. Dzani stated that NDK has a current staff of 90 personnel, two branches, and an ultra-modern head office.
He disclosed that the company has impacted many Ghanaian companies and societies, by providing credit for infrastructure development.
“We have provided credit for cocoa farmers, Municipal Assemblies, and private companies to develop the country”, he said.
He assured that the company will remain in the non-banking financial institution to serve its clients.
