Turkish airlines plans to increase the number of its flights from Tunis, to 3 flights daily, against 2 presently, to move from 14 flights to 21 flights a week, according to Huzefe Akhan, marketing official in Turkish Airlines Tunisia.
For this company, ranking first in Europe, the Tunisian market is its first Maghreb market. In 2015, about 180,000 passengers took these flights from Tunis for destination in Turkey, such as Istanbul, specifies the official to Tunisian journalists visiting the main economic pole of the country on the occasion of an eductour devoted to exploring the norther side of Cyprus.
For Sahbi Kahati, manager of Continental tours, it is an occasion to make known to the Tunisian tour operators other destinations in Turkey, like the Turkish side of the largest island of the East Mediterranean Cyprus.
