The CEO of Dalex Finance, Ken Thompson has described Citi FM’s new all-business website as a game changer.

According to him, the creation of citibusinessnessnews.com, demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to the dynamic needs of industry.

Mr. Thompson made the remarks at the launch of arguably Ghana’s most comprehensive business website on Monday.

“As a business you take information all the time but the most frustrating part of finding information is that when you need information, it is either not there or not updated or you spend hours before getting it, so if somebody is providing a website that I can get all the information I need, then it is a game changer; it has to be,” he explained.

Ken Thompson added, “The rate at which business modules are being overhauled is so quick; you will have to think on your feet and re-invent all the time.”

Meanwhile other members of the corporate world and business leaders who were at the event said the depth of information citibusinessnews.com has the potential to influence investments into the country.

The Executive Secretary of the American Chamber of Commerce-Ghana, Simon Madjie indicated, “This is good because of regional integration. This is information that helps us understand what is happening across the continent…It is also good for investments as you can get good information by just a click and not moving around.”

The Communication Manager for NDK, Felicia Nyame couldn’t agree more,

“Generally I think this is a good business website for myself as a communicator…the regional breakdown stood out for me and it is good for investments since it provides relevant information across the various regions on the continent,” she noted.

For his part, the President of the Ghana Union Traders Association, GUTA, and the counselor to the Chief of Obo Kwahu, Barima Dr. Ofori Ameyaw explains that the cost of doing business will largely decline.

“Particularly in Ghana as a country, we lack a lot of information and this makes it difficult to embark on any activity you may want to undertake in terms of business activities…registering a company among others so if there is a one stop shop where an investor can get all the information… The cost of doing business which has been the bane of our economy can just be addressed by some of these things,” the GUTA president stated.
