Egypt: North Sinai Governor, Investment Minister to Follow Up Investment Projects

North Sinai Governor Abdel Fattah Harhour has met Investment Minister Dalia Khorshid for talks on promoting the establishment of investment projects in the industrial zones of the governorate.

Commander of the Military Zone in Eastern the Canal District General Osama Askar, Head of the National Agency for Development of Sinai General Shawqi Radwan and South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Harhour said 60 per cent of the infrastructure of the industrial zone in Baer el Abd has been finalized along with the heavy industries’ district in Central Sinai on an area of 360 million square meters, equal to 85,000 feddans.

The government also said promotions for establishing several investment and development projects will be soon launched.

The meeting wrapped up with an agreement on establishing an office for the Investment Authority at Arish’s governorate city hall and applying the system of “one window” to ease the approval on any investment projects in the governorate.
