The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK, Ghana Branch has held its 10th Graduation Ceremony at the British Council on the theme “Bridging the gap Between Theory and Practice: The Role of Professional Education”.
Speaking to Citi Business News, at the ceremony the Chair of CIM-UK, Ghana Branch, Dr. George Eric Gyamfi – Osew said there is the need for professional institutions or educational centres to tailor the country’s academic offerings with the demands of industry.
He stressed the need for the public sector especially MMDA’s to place professional marketers in management positions and tap their knowledge base to help brand the institutions and ultimately brand Ghana.
Dr. George Eric Gyamfi – Osew however urged marketers to cautiously take advantage of the digital age to reach a lot of clients at less cost.
At the ceremony over 60 grandaunts and their families, industry players, representation from the head office of the institute in the United Kingdom was also in attendance.
