The average import prices of foodstuff and cement imported by Algeria declined in the first quarter of 2016 compared to the same period of 2015, the Trade Ministry told APS.
The average import prices of raw materials for the food industry recorded a decrease between 4% and 27%, except crude sunflower oil.
For cereals, prices decreased to USD 345/ton (USD/t) for durum wheat (-25 compared to the first quarter of 2015) to USD 203/ for soft wheat (-19.1%) and USD 179/t for corn (-14.8%).
Prices declined to USD 2,469/t for milk power (-19%) to USD 340/t for brown sugar (-15.2%) USD 609/t for crowd oil for food industry.
However, sunflower oil saw increased to 839 USD / t (+ 7%).
