Assess skills of employees to enhance productivity- CEO of HR Focus Magazine

The CEO of Human Resource Focus Magazine, Dr Ellen Hagan has called on Human Resource Executives to assess the skills and capabilities of employees to be able to meet their expectation.

According to her, an assessment will also increase productivity since workers will placed in their right positions.

Speaking to Citi Business News at the 5th HR Focus Conference organized by the HR Focus Magazine in Accra, Dr. Hagan explained that an understanding of human resource strength will also help in implementing the right work ethics.

“Every employee or a staff member has expectations. It is a skill to be able to develop and to find out what their various expectations are and meet them,” she noted.

“You can’t reward employees the same way. Everybody is at a certain point in Maslow  Hierarchy of need so you need to discover what your staff expectations are in the work place and then meet those expectations”, she added.
