Algeria: Air Algerie Plans to Launch New International Routes, Says CEO

CEO of Air Algérie, Mohamed Abdou Bouderbala, on Monday in El -Oued announced plans to reinforce national airline’s air transportation network by the launching of new international routes.

“Air Algérie plan to launch new international routes is part of the airline strategy to meet the demands of its customers from the Algerian community abroad and the economic operators,” said Mohamed Abdou Bouderbala during the ceremony of the launch of El-Oued-Paris route.

The CEO of Air Algeria said that by opening new international flights, the “airline contributes to the revival of tourism as large parts of the country possess privileged destinations for foreign tourists.”

During the inspection, the project of the extension of the Guemmar international airport “cargo zone,” the official recommended the exploitation of the cargo planes purchased by Air Algerie.

Located in an area of 650 m2, the project of the cargo zone extension received a budget of DZD57 million to bring its capacity up to 8,700 tons per year.

A new air route from El-Oued airport to Paris Charles De Gaulle airport (France) has been launched on Monday.
