Partner Israeli investors to expand businesses- Togbe Afede XIV

The President of the Ghana-Israel Business Chamber of Commerce Togbe Afede XIV  has urged Ghanaian investors to partner Israeli citizens wishing to set up businesses in Ghana.

According to him, there are many Israeli investors who have expressed interest to partner Ghanaians in agro processing and agriculture.

Speaking to Citi Business News after the inauguration of the Ghana Israel Business Chamber of Commerce at the residence of the Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, Togbe Afede XIV explained that the purpose of the chamber is to facilitate business activities and enhance trade between the two countries.

“Israel has a lot of technology that expands agriculture, so we can benefit from them if we partner them. They are ready to partner Ghanaian businessmen to invest in Ghana,” he said.

He pointed out that the Ghana Israel Business Chamber of Commerce is not for profit , but rather a private sector led business association initiated by the Embassy of Israel in Ghana in collaboration with local partners in furtherance of the embassy’s objective of promoting and enhancing sustainable trade.

He added that the partnership is also targeted at enhancing partnership and economic activity between the Ghanaian and Israeli private sector.

“This Chamber will also facilitate the business activities of Israeli investors in Ghana and Ghanaian investors in Israel as well as proactively promoting a good business environment for the conduct of trade and investment between Ghana and Israel,” he said.

On his part, the Ambassador of the State of Israel, Ami Mehl praised the cordial relationship that has existed between Ghana and Israel for decades.

He stated that the setting up of the chamber will solidify the relationship between the two nations and help transfer knowledge and technology.
