The Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners Ghana(IHRMP), has said it will continue to engage government on the passage of an HR Bill which is being considered by the Attorney General.
The bill which was worked on by the Ministry of Education has been submitted to the AGs office to review aspects of the document before it will be forwarded to Cabinet.
Speaking at the Annual General M of the institute, the president of the IHRMP Mr. John Wilson affirmed the members will not relent to get the bill passed into law despite challenges being faced.
“We will continue to engage the government on the HR Bill. We will push to get it through in spite of the challenges and will welcome any support as we continue to pursue the cause,” he said.
He pointed out that it is important for the bill to be passed buy accutane canada online since it has salient provisions that will help address human resource challenges in the country.
He stated for example that the institute has helped in addressing some challenges in the labour front, by engaging doctors through the Ghana Medical Association.
He added that the bill if passed into law will also provide solutions for most of the inefficiencies in the public sector.
Touching on some challenges in the public sector the law will address, Mr. Wilson explained that productivity will be matched with output.
Financial Performance
Announcing the financial performance for the institute in 2015, Mr. Wilson stated that total income increased from GHS795332 in 2014 to GHS 929,943.09 in 2015, representing a net increase GHS134,611.09.
“Total expenditure of the institute for the same period also increased by GHS114557.99 to GHS822955.35 in 2015 as compared to GHS708,397.36 in 2014,” he said.
