Trade Minister must strengthen bilateral relationships

Some business associations have called on the Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kyerematen to strengthen bilateral relationships with other international trade associations.

According to them, the move will guarantee constant rapid flow of foreign investments as well as provide an opportunity for SME’s to thrive.

Speaking to Citi Business News, the manager in charge of Tourism at Afro-Arab Group of companies Tamimu Alhassan stated that government will greatly benefit from such a move if pursued.

“So in this regard the group believes that the government has to take the necessary steps in order to create the enabling environment that the government is promising the people of Ghana,” he said.

He explained that the establishment will also guarantee quick profit for the country as a whole.

“We really call on the Ministry of Trade, the presidency, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre and other peripheral organization dealing with trade to be able to have the necessary collaboration with the private sector because that is the only way to get industries in Ghana to move forward,” he said.
