Nestle Ghana celebrates 60th anniversary [photos]

Nestle Ghana has launched its 60 years milestone of operating in Ghana.

The celebration which also coincides with the 60th anniversary of Ghana was aimed at presenting the company’s contribution to national development over the past sixty years.

Managing Director of Nestle Ghana Freda Duplan while delivering her speech made emphases on the company’s drive to providing the right nutrition, health and wellness to consumers.

“Nestle as a company is driven by one purpose…thus enhancing the quality of life and contributing to a healthier future”

Commenting on the company’s contribution to national development, Madam Duplan said “over the years we have worked closely to promote trade in close collaboration with Ministries, Department and agencies.

Touting some of the company’s achievements, Madam Duplan added that “nestle is committed to promoting sports, as a lifestyle for fitness and welfare and also contributing to other relevant sectors such as education, youth and sports and agriculture to create shared value for society.”

“The company also supports education by being the main sponsor for the Presidential Independence Day awards for the past eight years.” she added.

Speaking at the event, the Minister for Trade and Industry Alan Kyerematen expressed the significant contribution Nestle has made to Ghana’s economy through trade promotion.
