Weekly Financial Markets Review- Friday March3, 2017

 In the Weekly Financial Markets Review for the week ending Friday, March 3 , 2017 risk appetite was high on the bourse during the week in focus; speculative deals and investor desire to take positions in blue chip stocks saw the values of Benso Oil Palm, Standard Chartered, Societe Generale, Ghana Oil, GCB Bank and two others close on upbeat notes.

However, excess offers in Ecobank Ghana, Guinness Ghana and Tullow Oil weighed on their prices. Consequently, the Year- To-Date return of the GSE Composite Index improved from the previous week’s 9.95% to 10.60%; this is an impressive performance compared to the – 1.25% recorded on March 03, 2016.
