Local transport unions are beginning to express interest in phone applications that will provide commuters with services upon request.
Ghana’s transport system has seen improvement with online applications which has led to higher levels of competition in the country’s transport system.
Speaking at the launch of Yenko Taxi Services, CEO of the company, Mr. Kusum Appiah said the company is working with some of the unions in the country in order to improve transport services.
“We have close ties with several of the unions and we are fully supportive of the local unions and we are dealing only with local taxi drivers for now,” Mr. Appiah said.

Yenko Transport Limited is a Ghanaian company which uses a taxi app to ease the difficulty some people go through in accessing taxi services in the Accra and Tema metropolis.
Mr. Appiah went on to assure the public about the reliability of the service and the experience of the drivers.
