The Ghana Revenue Authority, GRA, has closed down Metro Television.
Citi Business News understands that the company has defaulted in paying taxes.
It is unclear how much Metro TV is owing and how long the debt has accrued.
A visit by Citi Business News to the Cantonment premises of the television station revealed that the GRA has restricted entry into the company with a seal of the Commissioner General.
Today’s exercise comes weeks after a similar one embarked on by the GRA to clamp down on the managers of the Accra Mall for owing the Authority some 2.3 million cedis in VAT.
