Zenith Bank has commissioned its new Head Office in Accra.
The edifice which is located on the Independence Avenue in the national capital was inaugurated by the President, Nana Akufo Addo on Monday, December 4, 2017.
The event a well-attended one had some distinguished business owners and top government functionaries present.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Akufo Addo stressed the government’s commitment to make Ghana the best place to do business on the African continent.
According to the President, the current economic and political conditions in Ghana have paved the way for more investments.
“These are the institutions that with our encouragement and support, are going to bring our continent together and bring us the integrated West Africa and Africa that I believe is the platform for the future prosperity of our people,” he said.
Meanwhile the Group Chairman and Founder of Zenith Bank, Jim Ovia assured of his outfit’s resolve to continue to deepen its footprints and improve the welfare of people through education and training.
“It is in that regard that the Jim Ovia foundation has donated recently 2 million dollars to the Ashesi University Scholarship Fund the scholarship award for a number of students….which we understand is our own Africa equivalent of Havard equivalent.”
“This is our own contribution to where we do business; when we make profits, we invest it in the people through educational empowerment, leadership, and infrastructure,” he added.
