The USA’s Fall Armyworm Task Force has warned African countries to brace themselves to tackle head on, the infestation of farms by fall army worms describing the phenomenon as coming to stay.
The claims are more worrying especially as the pests are potential threats to over eighty crops particularly staples such as maize and rice.
The losses are also estimated at about 13 billion dollars, to date.
Citi Business News has however been finding out available options for affected farmers and it points to efforts to reduce the impact of the pest invasion.
