Freight Forwarder, John Kwame Adu Jack is set to file an appeal over the cost awarded against him in the case against the Ghana Revenue Authority on the implementation of Cargo Tracking Note (CTN) system.
On Monday, May 13, 2019, the Tema High Court dismissed an application for an order of interlocutory injunction seeking to stop the implementation of the CTN pending the final determination of the suit challenging the policy.
The court, in addition, awarded a cost of GHS30,000 against the plaintiff. Speaking to Citi News, the freight forwarder indicated he was not surprised by the decision to dismiss the junction but would mount a legal challenge to have the cost awarded reduced.
He said while he will be appealing against the cost awarded against him, he maintained the throwing out of the interlocutory injunction does not in any way suggest that the substantive case will suffer the same fate.
