Citi Business News has gathered the owners of Golden Empire Legacy Limited have been invited by the Minerals Commission for interrogations over their current operations which is being promoted on social media.
Citi Business News’ checks at the Minerals Commission also revealed that Golden Empire Legacy Limited has been licensed by the commission to buy and sell gold.
However, an official at the Commission told Citi Business News the commission has not given the company the license to sell investment packages as promoted by the company on social media and that is why the owners were called to the commission to explain the new module.
The Securities and Exchange Commission earlier warned the public to desist from doing business with Golden Empire Legacy Limited because it had not licensed it to undertake investment activities.
The Director General of the SEC, Reverend Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh told Citi Business News that his outfit had begun investigations into the operations of the company.
