Ghana’s COVID-19 cases hit 5,127

Ghana’s COVID-19 cases have increased to 5,127.

This comes after 427 new cases were recorded out of which 272 were from the Obuasi township.

However, the number of recoveries and deaths still stand at 494 and 22.

This was revealed by the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, at a press briefing on Tuesday, May 12, 2020.

He also stated that there are 130 persons awaiting their second negative test.

Regional breakdown

The Greater Accra Region remains at the top of the case count list with 3,981 cases, followed by the Ashanti Region with 662 and the Central Region with 154.
