Ghana’s confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have hit 2,169
The number of recoveries have also increased to 229 from 212, whiles the death toll has risen from 17 to 18.
This is according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS). This means that 95 new cases have been recorded since the GHS last update on April 30,2020.
The update also shows one new death and 17 more recoveries.
This comes from the results of 3,552 samples that were tested by the various testing centers across the country.
Regional breakdown
The Greater Accra region still leads as the region with the highest number of confirmed cases followed by the Ashanti and the Eastern Regions.

Global situation
According to the John Hopkins Coronavirus website, globally, some 1,015,183 persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have recovered from the disease.
Meanwhile, the total infections stand at 3,259,167 with 233,439 deaths.
