Ghana’s COVID-19 cases now 8,297; with 2,986 recoveries and 38 deaths

Ghana’s COVID-19 case count has risen to 8,297 following the confirmation of 227 new cases.

This was confirmed by the Ghana Health Service in its update on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.

The update also indicates that 39 more people have recovered from the virus, increasing the tally for recoveries to 2,841.

Two more persons have also succumbed to the disease, pushing the death toll to 38.

Regional breakdown

The Greater Accra Region is still leading the chart with 5,798 cases, followed by the Ashanti and Western Regions with 1,263 and 436 cases respectively.
