Yieleh Chireh retires as Board Chair of FBNbank Ghana

Chairman of the Board of Directors of FBNBank Ghana, Mr Joseph Yieleh Chireh has retired.

This was captured in a statement issued by the bank.

Yieleh Chireh, a pharmacist, legal practitioner and the Member of Parliament for Wa West, served for two terms as chairman of the bank from 2014 to 2020.

The company in the statement lauded the former Board Chair for his commitment, dedication and selfless service during his tenure.

The statement also highlighted his contributions to the bank’s journey to becoming a leading bank in Ghana.

It added that under his steady and dynamic leadership, the FBNBank Ghana met the regulator’s minimum capital requirement of GH¢400 million at the end of 2018 and was well anchored with a lot of ongoing activities geared towards engineering the growth and development of the bank.

“The directors urged Mr Chireh to utilise his wide area of expertise to continue serving the country and from time to time, the bank will engage him for advice and guidance when necessary,” the statement said.

FBNBank Ghana Limited is a member of the First Bank of Nigeria Limited Group and has 21 branches and agencies in Ghana with over 400 workers and offers universal banking services to individuals and businesses.
