Best Point Savings and Loans launches ‘Best Mobile Banking’ product

Ghana’s leading savings and loans institution, Best Point Savings and Loans, has launched its new mobile banking services dubbed Best Mobile Banking.

The institution unveiled the new mobile banking to ease the financial transactions of its customers.

The Chief Executive of Special Group of Companies and Board member of Best Point Savings and Loans, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong officially launched this electronic banking product at a ceremonial event held at Mile 7, Accra, on Tuesday, September 28.

Narrating the vision behind this service, Dr. Ofori Sarpong stated the “best mobile banking from Best Point Savings and Loans will enable you to do basic banking transactions on your phone. It is easy to use and very convenient. All you need is to have an account with Best Point Savings and Loans”.

Best Mobile Banking is designed to give customers a more excellent and convenient banking experience by ensuring they transact business just with a click on their mobile phones.

To access this mobile banking platform, customers are required to dial short code *277#.

Board Chairman of Best Point Savings and Loans, Isaac Emmil Osei-Bonsu, delivering a speech at the event, recounted additional benefits of the Best Mobile Banking, saying it “clearly demonstrates the company’s commitment. Best Mobile Banking is an electronic banking product which enables customers to undertake their banking transactions on their mobile phones”.

“The product runs on a USSD platform which makes it possible to use on any mobile phone, including ‘yam’ phones. With Best Mobile Banking, you can undertake key mobile transactions such as the transfer of funds from your Best Point account to other bank accounts, the transfer of funds from your mobile money wallet into your Best Point account and do mobile money transfers from your Best Point account,” he added.

Best Mobile Banking can also be used to pay bills.

“You can pay all sorts of bills now including DSTV, the Post Office, ECG, Ghana Water, StarTimes; all sorts of bills from the comfort of your home and also from your rooms,” Mr. Emmil Osei-Bonsu emphasized.

This mobile banking doesn’t require internet connectivity to function.

“This means that wherever you are, irrespective of mobile connectivity, you can operate your Best Mobile Banking. It is so easy and convenient to use. All that the customers need to do is to have an account, which I expect all of you to have…all you need to do is to have an account with Best Point Savings and Loans and just dial *277#.”
