As part of efforts to educate, inform, and promote investment and business opportunities available in Ghana and Nigeria, both countries are set to host the Ghana Nigeria Business and Investment Conference.
The event which will be held in Atlanta in the USA will focus on the oil and gas, healthcare, manufacturing, the service industry and agriculture sectors among others.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the launch of the conference, Executive Secretary for the Ghana Nigeria business council, Nadia Takyiwaa-Mensah, hoped that this would help businesses in the countries raise capital from the Americas, particularly from the diasporan community.
She stated that “access to funding remains our single biggest challenge. You’ve got brilliant ideas, you’ve got people being able to do the business, there are a lot of businesses that are at their scale-up stage but it’s financing that we are having a challenge with.”
“So once we are able to get financing for these businesses, you’d start seeing a lot of homegrown businesses becoming corporates and then potentially multinationals as well.”
The event will address key aspects including;
Ghana/ Nigeria Economy and Infrastructure – highlight developments, limitations and key mechanisms and developments which are being put in place.
6 key investment opportunities across industries – including importing opportunities.
Discussions on the Green Economy and Technology boom.
A spotlight session on a leading American brand which operates in Ghana & Nigeria will provide insight on doing business within the respective countries and key considerations for businesses to consider before investing
Industry leaders and governmental organizations from Ghana and Nigeria will be in attendance to provide valuable insight.
Tickets for the event sell for $250 and it’s slated for October 18 2022.
