It is common knowledge that Ghana faces a serve plastic waste crisis as a number of streets in the country have litters or heaps of waste beside them.
While this is a challenge for most people to deal with a few individuals are using this waste for meaningful business ventures. Nelplast Eco Ghana Limited is one of such companies.
When the government said it was considering placing a ban on companies that produced plastic bags, in 2013 Nelson Boateng whose company was one of such decided to divert into the production of pavement blocks and lego bricks for building instead.
