Businesses are being encouraged to eschew practices and standards that raise questions of integrity of the corporate space.
This, according to the Corporate Business Development Directorate of the Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International will enhance consumer trust and offer some economic relief to the general public as the country is recovering from the economic downturn.
Speaking at a Media Launch of the World Conference and Business Expo of the Fellowship scheduled to be held at the Accra International Conference Center from 13th – 15th July 2023 the National Director of the Business Development Directorate of the Fellowship, Ray Snowden urged business operators to be prudent in their quest for profit.
“You will agree with me that corruption is now a canker and it is having an effect on our economy and our key pillars of our Corporate Directorate organize a seminar to drive home the message of ethics and integrity in our market place,” he said.
“As Christian business men and women we operate under Christian business principles and we want to share with the wider Ghanaian corporate world thus we have entered a partnership with Association of Ghana Industries to build the capacity of our members on how to develop , equip and adopt best practices in terms of ethics and integrity,” he added.
“One can still profit and have businesses that give you good success if you run your business on ethics and integrity,” he admonished.
On his part, the National President of the Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International (FGBMFI), Emmanuel Mahama encouraged Christian business operators to emulate Christ Jesus in their daily business transactions.
“The test drive for Christianity is not in the church. The real test of your Christianity is at our work place this is not new as the 52 parable that Jesus gave, 45 of them related to a work context in the market place so let’s take a lead from this,” he urged.
